Getting Involved
FemJEPP has developed a booklet to help women assess how a policy is impacting on the resources that can support women and their children - the human, economic, social development, tangible or environmental resources. The booklet is called, Developing an Impact Assessment. The booklet will also help women to identify the elements of good policy for women.
When you use the booklet, some of the important questions you will be answering are:
- What resources are required for women's economic independence?
- Are policies and programs developed and delivered according to FemJEPP's guiding principles?
- Are women active participants in the policy process?
- How does it all add up? How do policies and programs impact on women's lives?
- What are the strengths, weaknesses and overall impacts of the policy/program?
